Heavenly Eagle continues teams winning ways

It was a day to remember for the family as Stephen Brown Junior guided Heavenly Eagle to a brilliant win in the Seymour RSL Sub Branch Handicap Benchmark 64. Hugging the fence, Brown gave his mount the perfect ride, saving every inch of ground before unleashing a perfectly timed burst in the home stretch. The strategy worked a treat, as Heavenly Eagle kicked away to secure a well-deserved victory, further cementing his reputation as a reliable performer.

This win continues an ultra-consistent preparation for Heavenly Eagle, who has now clocked up two wins and four minor placings from his eleven starts this time in. Notably, the gelding has twice finished in the placings at Sandown, where he competed admirably against two highly promising horses. His consistency and fighting spirit make him a standout for the Brown stable, as he keeps delivering on the track.

For the Brown family, this victory is another feather in their cap, showcasing the successful partnership between Stephen Brown Sr. as trainer and his son in the saddle. The Browns' combination continues to pay dividends. Stephen Brown's winning strike rate continues to sit at around 14% and is place strike rate is 41%. This is evidence of the teams ability to provide consistency and success for their owners.

Looking ahead, the Browns have their sights set on bigger prizes. Lady Jones is preparing for her run in the prestigious Group 2 Stock Stakes at Moonee Valley on Grand Final Eve, and the stable is hopeful that the winning ways will continue. With momentum on their side, Lady Jones is primed to give the team a much deserved group victory as the spring really begins to heat up.
