UK Galloper Commences Australian Preparation
UK galloper Yenhaab, purchased by Stephen Brown for stable clients at October’s Tattersalls Horses in Training Sale, has commenced his first Australian preparation.
After travelling to Australia last December following UK quarantine, Brown had Yenhaab gelded and sent the lightly raced horse to the paddock.
“The plan was to get him back to Australia and immediately geld him, and then give him a nice break as he’d had a decent racing preparation in the UK prior to the sale”, Brown said.
“He’s spelled really well, put on a heap of condition, and looks fantastic. I hopped on him myself the other morning and he gave me a really great feel”.
Brown said the horse would likely have his first Australian race in June or July after a good grounding in the Flemington stable. “We don’t have a set program or anything like that. Ideally we’ll give him a couple of starts during winter and all being well freshen him up for something during the spring”.
“The horse has a relatively low rating having only had 9 starts for 2 wins so we’re happy to take him through his classes, but we bought him confident he will furnish into a very capable middle distance galloper”.
There is one 10% share remaining in Yenhaab. To take advantage of this rare opportunity to race a UK bred galloper please email rohan.hawker@gmail.com or svbrownracing@live.com.au for further information.
